It’s Saturday, it’s 8:30 a.m., and I’m awake. There really isn’t any reason for this. I don’t have a small child who’s poking me in the stomach with their cubby little fingers asking me for juice. There’s isn’t someone with morning wood poking me in the back. I’m just wide awake.
Some people say when you’re hung over you wake up because your body is alerting you to get some water and nutrients. Some also claim when you pass out while intoxicated, you are unable to get actually “sleep” because alcohol interrupts REM (rapid eye movement) sleep.
No matter the case, I’m awake and ready to eat. So what was my choice for the perfect hangover breakfast? Usually a combination of carbonation, carbs and hydration. So I went with pancakes and kombucha. Cartoon of choice, Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends.
